In celebration of the Artworks artists – past and present – the Painted Turtle Gift Shop and Gallery is hosting an exhibit of new and favorite works of art by over 30 artists. Sweet: 16 Years of Artworks Artists opens Saturday, April 30, 2016. These artists represent the backbone and dream of Artworks as they truly bring the arts to life in our community. These artists believed and today Artworks is what it is because of their dream, hard-work and persistence.
Two awards will be presented at the artist reception to be held June 9 from 5pm until 7pm. The People’s Choice Award will be by popular vote. Stop in and vote for your favorite piece of art. The artist who created the piece receiving the highest number of votes will receive a ribbon and a cash award. Sally Rose, artist and educator will jury the second award. This artist will be presented with a ribbon and cash prize. This is only the second time in gallery history that a sponsored exhibit has been presented with these two awards.
Doc and Pat Heeter are proud to sponsor the exhibit, awards and reception. Be sure to join the fun throughout the exhibit which opens Saturday, April 30 and closes at 3:00pm Saturday, June 18th.
