In October, 2023 I returned to Michigan after an approximately 35-year hiatus. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, I went to high school in Grayling, and then graduated from Eastern Michigan University. I moved to Illinois for a career that spanned 30 years in the research and development department of a radio control airplane manufacturer/distributor. In 2017 my wife Wendy and I relocated to West Virginia, until I found myself back in northern Michigan for Wendy’s new position at Ferris State. I’ve adapted the technical skills learned in the hobby industry to make laser-cut wood flat and contoured topographic maps and other interesting art and award plaques. I started my own work-from-home business in West Virginia and am looking forward to adapting my offerings to reflect my new surroundings in Michigan.
