Anita is drawn to more intimate scenes, rather than broad landscapes; she paints in watercolor and colored pencil to create her detailed works. Using specimens and her own sketches and photo references, she works in a realistic style, usually in watercolor, slowly adding layers of color to achieve the final result.

Her goal is to capture the “wonders of Nature” “-those quiet moments and fleeting glimpses of the beauty in the commonplace, which we so often miss in our busy lives.”

She hopes you enjoy the journey as she continues to explore and be inspired by our natural world, translating it into paint on paper and canvas to share with you.
