Mixed medium-Clay

After retiring, I moved to Petoskey to be close to family. I finally had time to be creative. I started exploring different mediums and found that my beautiful northern Michigan surroundings are my inspirations. 

I enjoy working with many different mediums; fabric, paint, clay & found and upcycled objects. I also enjoy learning new techniques, felting, marble painting and weaving. With three art centers within 20 minutes of my home there are many options to explore more mediums and be creative.

I like to incorporate all these mediums into my designs. I spend time exploring in nature and finding objects to use for my art. My Spirit Ladies glorify the essence of nature with their materials and their form is an expression of the human figure. My sculptures also incorporate inspiration from nature and the free flowing forms found in nature. I like to think my artwork inspires the wisdom of nature and will provide serenity to all who shall welcome it into their homes.
