Cynthia Mallory
Medium:Photography and More
Cynthia Mallory is a West Michigan photographer who creates artwork through close up and
macro photography of Metal, Wood, and nature. Inspired by the natural designs found around
us she strives to find patterns that resemble landscapes or other subjects. The close up images
of metal are inspired by the painting technique known as Pointillism. A small fraction of the
object is taken a few inches away to reveal the unique patterns in the rust.
You will find the wood used to create gifts such as tea light candle holders and picture frames
are chosen because of the very decorative wood grain patterns found in each piece of stock.
Past art exhibits include Art Prize, various restaurants in Grand Rapids and Barnes & Noble at
Rivertown Parkway in Grandville, Michigan.
