Steve’s interest in natural history led him to become a writer and photographer. Steve has been photographing nature for over 50 years. He has published, The Natural History of Mecosta County, which documents sightings of birds, animals and flora in the area. His photography has been published in the National Audubon, Gun Dog magazines as well as several books. His work tends to be project oriented. Several such projects include spring in the UP, wood frog/vernal pond natural history, rockscapes, and abstracts. Steve received a B.A. in biology from Albion College. He is a past ArtWorks board member, past board president, and in charge of keeping the ArtWorks facility in working order.
